What you'll do
As a Merchandiser for our General Merchandise team at Sainsbury's, you will:
* Execute a customer-facing, multi-channel merchandising strategy for your category/ranges aligned with the overall commercial strategy to drive profitable growth.
* Analyze markets, customer profiles, and supplier knowledge to develop the category/range framework and create supporting budgets.
* Continuously review performance, identify risks and opportunities, and contribute to trade reviews and post-implementation reviews.
* Manage stock levels, supply chain logistics, and supplier relationships; collaborate with cross-functional teams on space optimisation and joint business planning.
* Prioritise inbound and outbound stock flow and ensure milestones are achieved within the critical path to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
* Apply commercial acumen, work effectively under pressure, and use strong analytical and planning skills to support category success.
Essential Criteria
* Based in our Coventry Store Support Centre 2 days a week
* Previous Merchandising experience required, preferably within a non-food multi-channel retail environment
* Proven ability to deliver results to target as an individual and within a team
* Experience working under pressure in a fast-moving retail environment
