Aspris Telford School is recruiting for a Maintenance Assistant to join our Education team! We are seeking a passionate handyperson and enthusiastic DIYer to carry out reactive, day-to-day maintenance within the site and grounds. This position is for 5 hours per week, which can be on a bank or permanent basis.

Aspris Telford School is an independent day school located in an attractive semi-rural setting near Ironbridge. The school provides education to 14 young people aged 11 to 18 with SEN, including SEMH needs and autism. We are a small school with a big heart, committed to providing a positive, nurturing environment for our students, many of whom have experienced negative school experiences before joining us.
Main Duties:
* Maintain a safe, well-decorated, and comfortable environment, adhering to quality standards and statutory regulations.
* Ensure that all unit areas meet Aspris minimum standards efficiently and promptly as part of a team.
* Identify and report damage, faults, and issues to the line manager, and act on these as agreed.
* Conduct regular patrols of the unit and grounds, ensuring windows and doors are secured appropriately.
* Address acts of disturbance, vandalism, or theft, reporting incidents to the manager.
* Keep accurate records of incidents and suspicious activities in a logbook.
* Act in accordance with Aspris policies and procedures, maintaining a positive environment.
* Adopt new services introduced within Aspris.
* Use equipment efficiently to maximize value for money.
