The Equip Programme is a Health and Social Care Northern Ireland (HSCNI) wide programme to replace the existing HR and Finance systems (HRPTS and FPL) with a single cloud-based solution. This replacement will see a new system for the functions of HR, Recruitment, Pay, Travel, Finance, Procurement and Logistics. The Programme aims to equip users with a modern, usable and intelligent system to support them in their roles while allowing them to focus on their key responsibilities.

We are seeking a skilled Assistant Project Manager who will work as part of the Finance team to lead the implementation of the Finance aspect of the Equip programme. The postholder will work collaboratively with the Finance Project Manager to support activity in relation to project delivery. In addition, they will work in conjunction with the regional Equip Programme Team and other key stakeholders internally and externally.


Responsibilities

* Support the delivery and implementation of Equip in the Finance Directorate and support its implementation across the organisation.
* Ensure there are appropriate governance arrangements in place for the delivery of the Finance aspect of the project.
* Identify resources required for successful delivery of the project.
* Monitor overall progress and use of resources, initiating prompt and effective corrective action as and when necessary.
* Manage and monitor all aspects of project budgets and expenditure throughout the project.
* Engage with relevant stakeholders in the implementation and delivery of the project.
* Represent the Northern Health and Social Care Trust in local forums and other relevant structures.
* Work with key stakeholders across the HSC and beyond on all aspects of assigned projects.
* Communicate with suppliers/vendors as required, ensuring good relationships are maintained at all times.
* Provide support and work collaboratively with stakeholders to identify application development requirements.


Skills and Qualifications

* A university degree AND 2 years recent relevant experience OR an HND or equivalent recognised qualification AND 3 years recent recent experience OR 5 years recent relevant experience.
* Hold a current full driving licence which is valid for use in the UK and have access to a car on appointment.
* Demonstrate effective people management and organisational skills.
* Proven ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and to establish good professional relationships.
* Be proactive and self-motivated and have the ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Strong analytical and judgemental skills with a proven ability in interpretation of information and production of detailed reports.
* Ability to work accurately, demonstrate attention to detail and prioritise and organise workload within a pressurised environment and to tight project timescales.
