Job Description
Overview of duties
1. Is responsible for implementing and following up the hotel's preventive maintenance programme
2. Coordinates and implements regulatory procedures and audits (safety of people and property etc
Main Responsibilities
3. Customer relations
4. Respects guests' privacy and works without disturbing them,
5. Actively contributes to guests' comfort.
6. Professional techniques / Production
7. Makes sure that fire security installations are in good working order,
8. Runs regular checks on technical equipment to prevent any problems,
9. Implements corrective action plans,
10. Prepares and tracks the action plans instigated by the Safety Commission and audit authorities Checks application of water hygiene procedures,
11. Advises the General Manager when specialist intervention is required,
12. Insure the evolution of his/her knowledge and the safety of their interventions
13. Management and administration/ Team Management
14. Follows up investment and maintenance budgets (contracts, purchasing etc)
15. Handles relations with sub-contractors
16. Tracks and optimises energy consumption
17. Organises the work for maintenance technicians and handy man, depending on the hotel and the teams
18. Hygiene / Personal safety / Environment
19. Respects Accor's Legionnaires' disease directive,
20. Applies the hotel's security regulations (in case of fire etc)
21. Respects the hotel's commitments to the "Environment Charter" (saving energy, recycling, sorting waste etc), and ISO regulations
22. Actively contributes to the safety of people and property (ensuring safety exits remain clear of obstruction etc)
23. Organises and follows up security and fire prevention training for all hotel staff
Qualifications
Education / Professional experience
24. Vocational certificate or diploma in electronics or technical studies, or degree in hotel maintenance
25. 5 years of experience in a similar field
26. Must have practical and theoretical skills in related areas: cold-storage, air-conditioning, building pathology, water processing, Public Building regulations
27. Knowledge and experience of associated computer applications
28. Fluent in the national language, and English
