You'll join a newly formed, dynamic crew working on an exciting greenfield project. We're developing cutting-edge software that delivers workflow intelligence capabilities, empowering our customers to optimise their operations and make strategic, data-driven decisions. This is a unique opportunity to shape both the technical foundation and crew culture from the ground up.
As a Senior Engineer, your mission is to:
* Drive Product Excellence: Develop features and solutions that directly align with our strategic business goals and deliver real value to our customers.
* Craft High-Quality Software: Write, test, and maintain robust, scalable, and efficient code that exemplifies engineering best practices and stands the test of time.
* Champion Operational Excellence: Ensure our systems are reliable, performant, and maintainable in production, creating seamless experiences for our users.
* Elevate Your Team: Guide and mentor fellow engineers through coaching, knowledge sharing, and thoughtful code reviews, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
* Shape Our Engineering Culture: Actively participate in and contribute to the company's broader engineering initiatives, helping to define and evolve our technical standards and practices.
It will be a match if you have
* A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
* Strong command of written and spoken English.
* Frontend Focus: At least 5 years of experience with modern JavaScript/TypeScript, and proficiency with frameworks such as React.js, Vue.js, or Angular, along with styling tools like TailwindCSS or CSS-in-JS solutions.
* Backend Proficiency: Solid experience with server-side technologies such as Scala, Java, Node.js, or Python, and expertise in building and consuming RESTful APIs.
* Full-Stack Integration: Experience bridging frontend and backend systems, including API design, data flow optimisation, and end-to-end feature development.
* Strong foundation in unit testing, clean code practices, SOLID principles, and software design patterns.
* Proficiency with relational databases (MSSQL, PostgreSQL) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
It will be even better if you have...
* Familiariarity with Hexagonal software architecture and distributed systems architecture.
* Experience with other engineering fields such as Data Engineering.
