Overview
Meadow View Academy is situated next to Doe Bank Wood, in a pleasant area with extensive school grounds. Barr Beacon is just on our doorstep! We are proud to be part of the Lighthouse Multi Academy Trust, made up of nine schools all working collaboratively.
We are seeking to appoint an Administrative Assistant to work alongside our current office team. The successful candidate will take responsibility for the administration of pupil attendance, alongside other general office duties. We are looking for someone who preferably has had experience working in education and using MIS systems such as Arbor, although training will be provided as necessary.
Responsibilities
* Work closely with the Executive Head Teacher, Head of School and MAT Attendance Officer to continue to improve and monitor pupil attendance
* Record student attendance onto Arbor daily, monitor records and report absences to SLT
* Work with a high level of accuracy to ensure information is recorded correctly
* Liaise with our MAT Attendance Officer to complete legal paper work including referrals
* Take the lead on organising attendance certificates and rewards
* Provide a professional, friendly, and efficient welcome to all pupils, parents, visitors, and contractors
* Understand safeguarding and how to report any concerns appropriately
* Be able to work as part of a team and adapt to changing circumstances
* Be organised, efficient and have the ability to multitask
Requirements
The successful candidate will
* Have experience in an office environment and, ideally, education settings
* Have experience using MIS systems such as Arbor, with training provided if needed
* Be prepared to work as part of a team and adapt to changing circumstances
