They are seeking an Admissions Assistant to join their friendly and dynamic Admissions Team. The postholder will play a key part in delivering an excellent experience for prospective pupils and their families, from initial enquiry through to joining the school. You will be joining a supportive, close-knit community in a beautiful setting overlooking Canterbury. Main Duties: Maintain and update the admissions database accurately. Provide administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the admissions process. Deliver a consistently positive experience for prospective families and external partners. Coordinate offer and joining packs, ensuring all paperwork is processed promptly and accurately. Prepare mailing lists and coordinate communications to external stakeholders to promote school events effectively. Support and attend open mornings, admissions and marketing events. Meet and greet visitors, escort families on tours, and provide reception cover when required. Liaise with internal departments and external agencies, including UK and international educational agents. Support travel and event arrangements for the Head of Admissions, occasionally representing the school at events in the UK and overseas. Ensure compliance with safeguarding, data protection and health and safety policies. Skills and Qualifications Educated to at least GCSE level (or equivalent), including English and Mathematics at grade C/4 or above. Proven experience in an administrative, customer service, or admissions role, ideally within an independent school or education environment. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with families, pupils, colleagues, and external partners. Outstanding organisational ability, with a methodical approach and the capacity to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively. High level of accuracy and attention to detail, particularly when handling data, correspondence, and documentation. Strong IT skills, including confident use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience using databases or CRM systems. Professional and personable manner, demonstrating warmth, empathy, and respect in all interactions. Positive and proactive attitude, with a willingness to take initiative and see tasks through to completion. Calm and composed under pressure, maintaining accuracy and courtesy even during busy periods or changing priorities.
