What Youll Be Doing: Evaluating Claims: Manage motor damage claims from start to finish, assessing vehicle damage, reviewing policy coverage, and determining the extent of the insurers liability. Client Interaction: Offer empathetic and professional assistance to clients via phone, email, and occasionally in-person meetings, ensuring their concerns are addressed promptly and effectively. Documentation: Maintain thorough and accurate records of claims, including all communications, photographs, estimates, and relevant documentation to ensure comprehensive claim files. Negotiation: Skilfully negotiate settlements with clients, repair shops, and other parties to ensure fair and timely resolutions. Collaboration: Work closely with team members, including adjusters, legal experts, and repair specialists, to facilitate a seamless claims process. Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry trends, policy changes, and best practices to enhance your knowledge and expertise in motor claims handling. Essential Skills and Qualifications: Experience dealing with motor claims, including repair & total loss, third party intervention, subrogated recoveries, and property damage. Experience in handling defendant credit hire claims, with an understanding of the GTA and non-GTA processes, or experience handling personal injury claims in the OIC & MOJ processes. Knowledge of motor case law linked to specific areas of experience (e.g., credit hire, personal injury, liability). Knowledge and experience of small claims track motor claims litigation. Ability to handle claims from cradle to grave. Attention to detail and the ability to provide quality interactions with stakeholders, clients, and customers. Excellent customer service skills. Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise your workload. Ability to work to monthly targets. Strong communication skills - both written and verbal. Previous experience in motor claims handling or a related field. Strong knowledge of motor insurance policies and regulations. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment. About You: Collaborative in your approach to claims but also able to work independently.
