Overview
We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master with a solid background in Agile delivery and hands-on experience leading cross-functional teams within the insurance domain. The ideal candidate will guide teams in adopting Agile best practices, ensuring smooth delivery of insurance technology projects such as policy administration, claims, and underwriting systems.
Responsibilities
* Act as a Servant Leader and Agile Coach for multiple Scrum teams working on insurance applications and platforms.
* Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies - Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
* Collaborate with Product Owners to ensure a well-defined and prioritized Product Backlog aligned with insurance business goals.
* Track and report Agile metrics (velocity, burndown, cycle time, etc.) to stakeholders for continuous improvement.
* Identify and remove impediments that hinder team progress, promoting transparency and accountability.
* Ensure adherence to Agile principles, Scrum framework, and SAFe (if applicable) within distributed teams.
* Work closely with QA, DevOps, and Architecture teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery.
* Support the Release Planning process and facilitate cross-team coordination for insurance program deliveries.
* Coach team members on Agile mindset, estimation techniques, and sprint predictability.
* Foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration within technical and business teams.
Qualifications
* 6-10 years of overall IT experience as a Scrum Master.
* Proven track record of delivering Agile projects in the insurance or financial services domain.
* Strong understanding of Agile frameworks - Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, or LeSS.
* Experience working with insurance business systems such as Policy Administration, Claims, Underwriting, or Billing.
* Proficient with Agile project management tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, or Rally.
* Strong knowledge of Agile metrics and reporting dashboards.
* Excellent facilitation, conflict resolution, and servant leadership skills.
* Familiarity with DevOps culture and CI/CD integration within Agile teams.
* Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including interaction with product owners, business analysts, and IT leadership.
