Construction Health & Safety Advisor - Northern Ireland Housing Executive - Belfast
The Northern Ireland Housing Executive is seeking a Construction Health & Safety Advisor to support safe working practices across projects, ensuring compliance, providing training and driving health and safety standards across the organisation About the role:
1. £18.72 per hour
2. The Housing Centre, Belfast (travel to other locations may be required)
3. Monday to Friday, (9:00am - 5:00pm)
4. 35 days annual leave pro rata
5. Temporary, ongoing
What you'll be doing in this role:
6. Collating project pre-construction information
7. Reviewing construction phase plans
8. Produce reports, collect and analyse date and attend meetings where you will communicate your findings and recommendations
9. Design and deliver training & provide information / support to internal & external stakeholders
10. Assist in the development, implementation, and operation of policies and procedures
11. Compile and maintain appropriate records, statistics, and performance indicators
12. Participate in relevant meetings including Pre-Start meetings, Site meetings, and Risk Reduction meetings
What you'll need for this role:
13. Degree or higher qualification (level 6) in Occupational Health & Safety or a relevant professional qualification AND can demonstrate 2 years of relevant experience in a Construction Health & Safety Advisor / Officer role
14. ORCan demonstrate that you are currently progressing through a level 6 course in Occupational Health & Safety AND have 3 years of relevant experience in a Construction Health & Safety Advisor / Officer role
15. Membership of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) at either technical or certified level
16. A CSR Card – (you will be expected to gain the Gold Health & Safety Practitioner CSR card on renewal
17. Candidates must have access to a form of transport to enable the candidate to fulfil the requirements of the post.
