Highly Specialist Occupational Therapist - NHS AfC: Band 7, Hemel Hempstead
This role involves providing high-quality, comprehensive Occupational Therapy assessments and interventions for service users with complex needs. The post requires working collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team to assess needs, develop care plans, and evaluate outcomes, while managing a caseload.
Main duties include:
1. Conducting assessments and delivering interventions for specified service user groups.
2. Working closely with service users, carers, colleagues, and other service providers.
3. Supporting individuals at risk of hospital admission through assessment, intervention, and support.
4. Collaborating with Acute Treatment Units (ATUs) to facilitate safe discharge into the community.
5. Providing training and education to professionals, carers, and families.
6. Leading and developing Occupational Therapy services within the team, with support from the Professional Lead Occupational Therapist.
The role requires an EU work permit.
