Were expanding our Geotechnical team at BAM, having secured a range of exciting and challenging ground engineering projects across the UK. These nationally based roles play a key part in delivering critical infrastructure that supports net zero targets, national security, and the Northern Powerhouse initiative.
We are currently seeking experienced professionals with expertise in the following three areas:
Grout Plant Operators
Rope Access Drillers
Rope Access Meshing Operatives with experience in multiple meshing systems

Your work environment This role is nationwide as we have projects across the entire United Kingdom. Candidates must be willing to travel on a regular basis. A company vehicle will be provided.

Your mission Communicating effectively at all levels including site management, technical specialists, commercial staff, planners, engineers, supervisory staff operatives, suppliers, third parties and client representatives. Maintaining high personal standards in health and safety.
Monitoring the work and ensuring adoption of Beyond Zero and Don't Walk By initiatives.
Maintaining high standards in environmental awareness and behaviour.
Driving quality delivery through effective planning and right first time delivery.
Provide assistance to engineering staff.
Assist in the provision of accurate and clear setting out of the works.
Carry out geotechnical installations and processes to specification.
Operate plant safely and efficiently.
Liaise with plant personnel to prioritise maintenance and repairs.
Maintain personal diary/CPD record to sustain career development.
Assist in carrying out testing / sampling of materials as required by the specification.
Assist in carrying out site measures for control and ordering of materials.
Complete observation cards if you observe something unsafe, damaging to the environment or good enough to share with others. Encourage others to adopt the same behaviours.
Attending and participating in daily safety briefings, activity plan briefings and tool box talks.
Carry out other relevant duties as required from time to time.

NVQ Level 2
Working towards Technician Member ICE/IOM
One or more of the following:
NVQ Level 2 Plant Operation
NVQ Level 2 Land Drilling (Support Op)
NVQ Level 2 Concrete Spraying
NVQ Level 2 Vehicle Marshall
NVQ Level 2 Controlling Lifting Operations Slinger/Signaller
NVQ Level 2 Ground Anchor Installation
Emergency First Aid at Work
CPCS
CSCS
Irata Level 1, 2, or 3
Land Drilling NVQ
CAT and Genny
