The opportunity:
In this pivotal role, youll partner with the Business Development Manager to drive growth across G&Ps Engineering, Technical, Inspection, and Talent Services, expanding our impact across key industries. Whether its generating new leads, building client relationships, or supporting strategic initiatives, youll be at the heart of G&Ps growth.
With travel across the UK, focusing on the Midlands and South, this role offers flexibility in location. G&Ps head office is in Birmingham, but applicants from across the country are encouraged to apply.
Key responsibilities include:
Drive new technical services business through your own network and G&Ps existing relationships
Engage prospects via LinkedIn, email, and telephone to arrange meetings - both virtual and face-to-face
Attend industry events and promote G&P as a thought leader
Maintain accurate sales forecasting and CRM updates to track opportunities and pipeline
Collaborate with Operations and Talent Acquisition to ensure the right skills are in place for new business
Ensure compliance with commercial pricing, sales strategies, and corporate guidelines
Constantly benchmark G&P against competitors to support strategic business development
The ideal Business Development Executive will have the following skills and experience:
A proven track record in business development within Automotive, Engineering, Manufacturing or related industries
Somebody who is confident, resilient, tenacious and able to communicate effectively at all levels
The skill to understand customers challenges and connect them to the solutions you can offer
Excellent diary and time management skills, with a strong attention to detail
The ability and discipline to manage a sales pipeline effectively.
The commitment to accurately record activities and forecast your business.
A strong team player who thrives in a collaborative environment
Willingness to travel extensively within the Midlands and South Regions
