We are working in partnership with all-through schools in Corby who are seeking a committed Mental Health Practitioner to join their teams from January 2026. This is a full-time, temporary-to-permanent role, offering long‑term stability within a supportive educational setting.
About the Role:
* Deliver one-to-one and small-group interventions for students experiencing emotional and mental health challenges, including anxiety, low mood, emotional regulation difficulties, and confidence issues
* Complete assessments and contribute to individual support plans in collaboration with SENCOs, pastoral staff, and families
* Support a whole-school approach to mental health and wellbeing, including wellbeing initiatives and student drop-in sessions
* Work closely with teaching staff and external agencies to ensure joined‑up, child‑centred support
* Promote resilience, emotional literacy, and positive coping strategies through structured sessions
* Maintain accurate records in line with safeguarding and confidentiality policies
We're Looking For:
* A qualified or experienced Mental Health Practitioner, Counsellor, Youth Worker, Mental Health Nurse, or Social Worker
* Experience supporting children or young people in education, healthcare, or community-based settings
* Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships
* A calm, empathetic, and non-judgemental approach
* A good understanding of safeguarding practices and child mental health
* Additional training in areas such as CBT, trauma-informed practice, or emotional regulation is desirable
