Role Overview
We are recruiting a Technical Sales Manager for a leading Manufacturing & Engineering company.
This role is ideal for someone experienced as a solutions provider on large commercial or industrial engineering projects, adept at managing complex multi-million-pound initiatives, and confident engaging with decision-makers and director-level stakeholders.
The Technical Sales Manager will lead the development of engineered and technology-enhanced product sales, with a primary focus on Manufacturing & Engineering. This includes growing sales in tanks, storage systems, and integrated fuel infrastructure projects, while leveraging technology and data-led design to strengthen competitive edge.
The role will work closely across multiple business pillars — including Site & Installation Services, Design & Technology, and Environmental Waste Solutions — to deliver end-to-end client solutions from design and manufacture through to installation, monitoring, and eventual decommissioning.
The Technical Sales Manager will combine technical credibility with commercial acumen to expand market presence and support its transition towards sustainable and future focused engineering solutions.
The Technical Sales Manager will also receive mentoring and technical guidance from the current Managing Director, ensuring continuity of key client relationships and a smooth handover of strategic sales activity.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and grow sales of fuel storage systems and engineered solutions in the UK and selected EU markets.
* Lead technical proposals, quotations, and tenders.
* Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and design teams to deliver tailored solutions.
* Support cross-pillar innovation and lifecycle solutions with Design & Technology and Environmental Waste teams.
* Provide commercial insights and represent at industry events.
About You
* Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, engineered system design, and applied technology.
* Excellent commercial acumen, negotiation, and presentation skills.
* Ability to communicate complex technical solutions clearly to clients.
