An excellent opportunity for an Internal Account Manager to join our client’s innovative team in Newport. The company is a leader in its industry and is experiencing a period of sustained growth.
The successful candidate will be the main point of contact for the customer. You will oversee all operational and financial aspects of the customer account, including costs, pricing, profitability, working capital, and customer service.
This role would suit an Account Management professional with excellent relationship building and project management skills. A background in manufacturing, in particular electronics manufacturing, would be an advantage.
Occasional travel within the UK and internationally may be required.
The Role:
* Lead a customer-focused team with clarity and compassion, fostering exceptional customer service to drive both short-term wins and long-term growth opportunities
* Utilise various account management tools, CRM systems, and ERP systems - ensure all systems are kept up to date with the latest standards
* Nurture meaningful and lasting customer relationships
* Support the maintenance of high levels of gross margin and operating profit, prioritizing financial stability and growth
* Take ownership of collecting outstanding payments to maintain healthy cash flow
* Resolving customer issues, such as pricing discrepancies, promptly and accurately, ensuring fair and transparent transactions
* Provide accurate and timely financial forecasting, supporting informed decision-making and strategic planning efforts
* Maintain and execute customer contracts, mitigating risks and fostering trust with customers
* Act as the primary point of contact for customer operational relationships, focusing on ensuring satisfaction, resolving issues, and managing escalations effectively
* Collaborate with teams across the business to ensure exceptional operational execution, meeting organisational KPIs
* Conduct regular customer meetings, with the appropriate cadence including quarterly business reviews, fostering open communication and alignment
* Utilize standardised tools and processes to provide regular reports to the management team on customer and account status
* Contribute to monthly SIOP meetings and the annual strategic/budget planning process
The Ideal Candidate:
* Proficiency in leading cross functional teams in a manufacturing environment
* Proven track record in project management
* IT proficiency in office software applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, slide presentations, email, and business systems software (CRM, ERP).
* Previous experience in an electronics manufacturing operations environment, with knowledge of operational methodologies and tools, desirable
* Familiarity with SIOP (Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning) and MRP (Material Requirements Planning) processes and systems, desirable
* Analytical skills: Able to comprehend and analyse periodicals, business reports, correspondence, and procedure manuals
* Presentation skills: effectively presenting information and responding to inquiries from leadership teams, managers, customers, and colleagues
* Problem-solving skills: gather data, solve practical problems, and address a variety of concrete variables in situations with limited standardization
* Ability to interpret instructions provided in written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule form
* Curiosity to identify root cause behind operational and relational issues
* Confident decision maker and able to prioritise workload
