Responsibilities of the Finance Team Lead
6. Lead the Income and Payables teams to deliver an efficient finance service
7. Manage income, rent recovery and service charge processes within social housing
8. Oversee supplier payments, purchase ledger and financial controls
9. Ensure compliance with VAT, CIS, Corporation Tax and financial regulations
10. Support audits, annual accounts and statutory reporting
11. Drive process improvements and support finance system users
12. Build strong relationships with suppliers and key stakeholders
13. Lead teams through change and promote continuous improvement
14. Support strategic financial decision-making and value for money initiatives
Requirements for the Finance Team Lead
15. Essential experience within service charge accounting in social housing
16. Strong background in income management and rent recovery
17. Proven experience leading and developing finance teams
18. Advanced Excel skills
19. Strong understanding of finance operations and financial controls
20. Ability to manage change within a finance environment
21. Previous experience working within social housing is essential
22. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
