Overview
This is a permanent, 18.75‑hour week vacancy for an enthusiastic Clinical Nurse Specialist / Mental Health Professional to join the liaison psychiatry emergency department team. The role requires excellent assessment and communication skills and the ability to perform well under pressure in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
* Provide 24/7 input into the Emergency Department, delivering high‑calibre assessments, formulations, and care plans for individuals presenting with mental health problems.
* Perform timely biopsychosocial assessments and risk management plans in accordance with CPFT’s Clinical Risk Assessment and Management policy for adults presenting to the Acute Trust.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to contribute to the clinical assessment and management of patients referred to the Liaison Psychiatry Service.
* Work shifts across a 24/7 rota.
Qualifications
* Senior experienced Band 7 (Nurse or Mental Health Professional).
* Background in acute care providing assessments and experience in crisis work.
