Job Description
3. Develop the strategic roadmap for implementation and execution of the Quality strategy within Safran Seats GB (SGB), liaising and working with all levels of SGB as well as benchmarking with Quality personnel in Safran Seats France and US.
4. This role demands a high level of experience and competency in transformation and leadership to ensure effective implementation and participation at all levels of the Business.
5. The role requires technical problem solving, therefore the position holder is expected to be able to quickly understand technical issues and help with their resolution through exploration, problem solving tools, and/or direct support.
6. Servant leadership of the Quality Teams, Liaise with key functional stakeholders to ensure business objectives are met
7. Develop Quality metrics that underpin and enhance operational efficiency
8. Undertake benchmarking for the strategic projects/activities that are monitored and measured
9. With the VP Quality, establish and enforce robust governance frameworks to ensure compliance with industry standards and requirements
10. Manage and report the progress of Quality strategy activities to the VP Quality, Seats GB Excom and Seats Company Level
11. Work closely with existing Supply Chain, CI, and Engineering Transformation Managers for cross functional project deployment
12. Define roadmap and planning of the Digital Strategy for Quality
13. Delivery of ERP (M3) roadmap for quality deliverables
14. Manage Digital transformation within the quality function and processes
15. Standardise and harmonise digital tools in line with Safran SST expectations.
16. Ensure HSE objectives are maintained within the team to put "Safety First, Quality Always"
17. Engage collaboratively as Business Process Manager for QUA, RSK and GOV
18. Implement One Safran Quality process and operational excellence standard methods and best practices to drive effective implementation of the Quality transformation activities
19. Support and facilitation to Safety Management System (SMS) implementation roadmap within Seats GB
20. Proactively work with all Functions to drive the effective implementation and coordination of Quality strategy and priorities within Safran Seats GB
21. Identify areas for improvement and spearhead initiatives to implement, manager and monitor projects
The Successful Applicant
A successful Head of Quality Transformation should have:
22. Degree level or equivalent in an Engineering / Manufacturing related discipline.
23. Lean / 6 Sigma knowledge and general improvement tools
24. Experience in aerospace (or similar) quality processes and procedures including QRQC and APQP
25. In-depth knowledge of Aerospace Regulations eg EASA, FAA, AS9100 etc
26. Essential
27. 8D analysis and report writing
28. Risk Analysis
29. Experience of dealing with regulatory authorities
30. Quality and production experience
31. Competent in MS packages
32. Problem solving skills (including 8D, 5 whys)
33. Leadership and / or management qualification
