The Role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Buyer to join the commercial/procurement team. You will be responsible for managing the procurement of materials and services across multiple residential developments, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to specification.
Key Responsibilities
1. Procure materials, plant, and subcontract services for residential housing projects
2. Prepare and issue enquiries, analyse quotations, and place purchase orders
3. Negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers and subcontractors
4. Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and source new ones as required
5. Monitor material costs against budgets and report cost movements
6. Ensure timely deliveries to site in line with construction programmes
