Geotechnical Engineer | Belfast
Vickerstock is pleased to collaborate with a young, ambitious design consultancy to recruit a Geotechnical Engineer. Established in 2021 as a specialist water & infrastructure firm, this company has experienced rapid, sustainable growth, expanding its services to include Structural Engineering (buildings and heavy civils) and Geotechnical Engineering through industry-expert appointments.
Your new role as a Geotechnical Engineer
You will work alongside the newly appointed Associate Director for Geotechnical Engineering, providing expert support on various built environment projects including water & wastewater, civil infrastructure, and temporary works schemes. You will have the opportunity to work on ground engineering projects such as slope stability analysis, deep basements, load-bearing piles, retaining walls, and embankment design.
What you will need to succeed as a Geotechnical Engineer
1. A degree in Civil Engineering
2. A minimum of 1-year postgraduate experience in ground engineering design, with a consultancy or piling contractor
3. Commitment to career development and pursuing CEng status with ICE or similar
