Senior Vice President Finance – Aerospace Procurement

What you will be doing:
Leading the finance function in supporting Aerospace Procurement which purchases circa £4b of materials and parts for Civil and Defence. The role encompasses a wide range of Finance accountabilities including decision support for make/buy and other strategies, approval of significant sourcing decisions, providing insight and driving business performance within year and over the long term, ensuring effective stewardship and governance, and efficient and effective forecasting and reporting of actual results.
This role reports to the Civil CFO but supports Aerospace Procurement covering both Civil and Defence.
Responsibilities:
* Lead and develop the Finance team for Aerospace Procurement and act as a member of both the Civil Finance Leadership team and the Aerospace Procurement Leadership team
* Drive the development of business strategies to ensure the development of a profitable, cash generative and sustainable business
* Ensure sourcing decisions and commercial claims deliver the best value for Rolls-Royce, balancing considerations of cost and risk, discharged both directly in approving Global Sourcing Board decisions and by developing business partnering capability in the team
* Sit as a quorate member of the Elemental Committee driving our purchasing strategies for key raw materials
* Drive performance delivery and improvement by ensuring that key value drivers are understood and measured and improved through actionable insights, including robust horizon scanning driving a strong vulnerabilities and opportunities process
* Provide strategic insights based on industry trends and macro-economic factors
* Act as a trusted advisor on all aspects of financial management
* Maintain professional standards and compliance with internal / external financial policies
* Deliver high quality efficiently prepared forecasts for product cost and functional financial statements
* Ensure Corporate Governance is maintained, and that adequate risk and control procedures are in place
* Develop, coach and mentor the careers of professional staff to maximize performance
* Provide insights into Divisions and Value Streams, ensuring drivers of cost change are understood and accounted for appropriately
