Working as a Nursery Practitioner, you will join a nursery team that is committed to providing the highest levels of care and education for all the children who attend.
AIM
* To provide a high standard of physical, emotional, social, and intellectual care for children placed in the setting.
* To support staff within the setting.
* To work as part of a team to provide an enabling environment in which all children can play, develop, and learn.
* To build and maintain strong partnership working with parents to meet children's needs.
Responsible to: Nursery Manager/Deputy
Qualification: The candidate must be LEVEL 3 QUALIFIED
Main Duties
* To effectively deliver the EYFS, ensuring that the individual needs and interests of children in the setting are met in conjunction with other team members.
* To keep records of children’s development and learning journeys and share with parents, carers, and other key adults.
* Support all staff and engage in a good staff team.
* Develop and maintain strong partnerships and communication with parents/carers to facilitate daily caring and early learning needs.
* Ensure the provision of a high-quality environment tailored to individual children, considering disabilities, family cultures, and medical histories.
* Report any concerns to the manager/deputy, maintaining confidentiality as necessary.
* Participate in out-of-hours activities such as training, staff meetings, and events.
* Be flexible within working practices, undertaking responsibilities like domestic tasks, snack preparation, and equipment cleaning.
* Work alongside the manager and staff team to fulfill the setting’s philosophy.
* Adhere to all policies and procedures relevant to your role and the safe operation of the setting.
* Develop your role within the team, especially as a key person.
* Maintain confidentiality regarding children, families, and staff.
* Uphold the setting’s high standards both during and outside working hours.
* Ensure safety, hygiene, and cleanliness are maintained at all times.
