POSITION: Head of Media Studies – London Borough of Croydon. CONTRACT TYPE: Permanent. HOURS: Full Time. START DATE: January 2026 / Negotiable. SALARY: MPS/UPS Outer London Pay Scale + TLR3.

The school is seeking to appoint a well-qualified, enthusiastic and dedicated Head of Media Studies teacher to join and lead one of the school\'s most popular and well-regarded departments among students.
Responsibilities
* Lead the Media Studies department and contribute to the overall academic standards of the school.
* Work within a team to deliver high-quality teaching and learning and raise standards for all students.
* Collaborate with colleagues to support curriculum enrichment and departmental development.
Qualifications
* Fully qualified Media Studies teacher with QTS, QTLS or an equivalent overseas qualification.
* Experience leading a department or readiness to step up into a leadership role.
* A consistent teaching history verified by good to outstanding references.
* A positiv e ability to start a new role in January 2026.
