Registered Home Manager - Children's Residential Care

Salary: 50,698 - 60,865 per annum + Performance Bonuses

Location: Slough, Berkshire

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

About the Organisation

Our client is dedicated to providing a safe, nurturing, and structured environment for high-risk young people in solo placements. With a therapeutic and trauma-informed approach, they help young individuals overcome challenges and reach their full potential. Their Ofsted-registered children's homes are built around high standards of care and supported by dedicated professional teams.

The Role

Our client is seeking a Registered Home Manager to oversee one or two of their solo children's homes. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team, shape the future of young lives, and ensure compliance with Ofsted's quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

* Oversee the daily operations of the residential home(s), ensuring high standards of care and compliance with Ofsted regulations.
* Lead and inspire a team of Senior Support Workers and Support Staff in delivering exceptional care.
* Develop and implement individualised care plans tailored to each child's needs.
* Work closely with local authorities, education providers, therapists, and youth offending teams to ensure holistic support for young people.
* Ensure all staff are trained in PACE (therapeutic model) and Team Teach (de-escalation techniques).
* Support the registration process for Ofsted compliance.
* Oversee the administration of medication (if required) and ensure safeguarding policies are strictly followed.
* Provide a structured and stable environment that enables young people to thrive.

Candidate Requirements

* Minimum two years' experience as a Deputy Manager in a children's residential care setting.
* Level 5 NVQ in Leadership & Management (or willingness to complete it within two years).
* Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and compliance in children's residential settings.
* Experience working with high-risk young people with complex needs.
* A proactive leader who can support and develop a strong team culture.
* Passion, resilience, and empathy for working in a challenging but highly rewarding environment.
