About the Job: The Applied Innovation Exchange seeks a talented individual with infinite curiosity to work with the UK team in London. The role involves solving real problems through research, service design, and creating innovative, high‑impact concepts for clients in a start‑up style culture.
Responsibilities
* Work alongside senior designers to deliver impact for clients through design.
* Support the delivery of new products, services, capabilities, and systems from “problem to pilot” at pace.
* Work within multi‑disciplinary teams to design, prototype, and build cutting‑edge solutions and concepts.
* Share work directly with clients to generate curiosity and a desire to apply innovation.
* Deliver quality design work, from research to high‑fidelity UX/UI, using tools such as Figma and inspire clients towards design standards.
* Facilitate workshops, brainstorming sessions, experiments, and design sprints with internal teams or clients to define design direction.
* Conduct user research and interviews, create user journeys, personas, and uncover customer insights.
Qualifications
* Experience in a similar design‑led role.
* Excellent presentation skills with the ability to engage stakeholders.
* Ideally some experience of taking a product to market by working closely with developers and client stakeholders at pace.
* Bias for action, creating proof points to drive tangible experiments, prototypes, or solutions.
* Passion for UX design and eagerness to share expertise and collaborate creatively.
* Solid grasp of the design process, including research and human‑centred design practices, through to high‑fidelity UX/UI and prototypes using modern tools.
* Experience in inclusive design is a plus; awareness of emerging technologies such as AI, IoT, or Mixed Reality is desirable.
* Experience with, but not reliance on, GenAI tools to support design.

To be appointed, you must undergo BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) checks. There are no nationality or residency restrictions, though prior residence outside the UK in the last 3 years may require further checks.
