As the Marketing and Sales Director, you will be the creative force behind the brand, responsible for developing and executing strategies that enhance market positioning, drive occupancy, and maximize revenue streams. You’ll collaborate with operational, sales, and revenue teams, crafting innovative marketing campaigns that resonate with target audiences and solidify the company’s reputation as a leader in the hospitality sector. This role demands a strategic thinker with a passion for storytelling and a proven ability to translate brand vision into tangible results.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement the resort’s long-term vision, brand identity, and market positioning.
* Drive occupancy, revenue growth, guest satisfaction, and profitability through strategic initiatives.
* Develop comprehensive 3-year business strategies and plans for each business unit.
* Conduct thorough customer research, competitor analysis, and data analysis to inform marketing decisions.
* Create and manage a sophisticated CRM system to capture and leverage customer data effectively.
* Develop and price new products, services, and experiences that align with customer needs and market trends.
* Oversee marketing communications across all channels, including digital, PR, and social media.
* Manage website content, booking engines, and other digital platforms to optimize user experience and drive conversions.
* Monitor and evaluate marketing performance, using data-driven insights to continuously improve campaign effectiveness.
* Manage on-property brand presence through signage, merchandising, staff uniforms, and interior design.
* Develop and implement effective sales and distribution strategies to maximize revenue.
* Oversee revenue management to optimize pricing and occupancy.
Must-Have Qualifications:
* At least 10 years of marketing experience, with progressive growth to CMO, Director, or Head of Marketing.
* Demonstrated expertise in brand building and development.
* Proven track record of developing and executing marketing strategies that drive revenue growth.
* Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms, including SEO, PPC, email marketing, and social media, with a history of demonstrable success.
* Experience in developing strategic business plans and marketing plans.
* Strong leadership skills and experience managing teams effectively.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
* Experience in the hotel, vacation rental, wellness, or hospitality sector.
* Luxury service brand experience.
* Experience with revenue management principles and practices.
* Experience managing sales primarily through online channels.
* Experience managing a “perishable product” environment.
