About The Role:
We have partnered with a mid-size design and build company specializing in innovative commercial and retrofit projects. They are seeking a personable and experienced Technical Designer to join their team.
Working from their vibrant office in central London, you will be a key player in the later stages of projects, translating creative concepts into detailed, executable plans. Your technical expertise will ensure designs are visually stunning, functional, and feasible. You will also play a pivotal role in client interactions, pitching ideas, and realizing clients’ visions to the highest standards.
The ideal candidate will have experience working on commercial and retrofit projects in London, managing projects from concept to completion with meticulous attention to detail to meet client needs.

Key Responsibilities:
* Develop detailed design and construction documents and technical specifications, ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and regulations.
* Collaborate with architects, designers, contractors, and stakeholders for seamless project execution from design development to construction.
* Prepare and present design proposals and technical details to clients, addressing technical concerns and adjustments.
* Review and refine design documents for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with project goals and client expectations.
* Address technical challenges during construction, providing solutions that maintain design integrity.
* Work closely with the design and on-site teams to ensure the creative vision is maintained, considering practical and technical constraints.
* Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and construction techniques to enhance project quality and innovation.
Key Skills/Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field.
* 5+ years of experience in architectural or technical design within the architecture and design-build industry.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
* Revit proficiency is preferable.
* Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and construction methods.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills to engage and inspire clients.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
* Experience in late-stage architectural projects, including construction documentation and administration.
