As the acting Ward Manager you will contribute to the smooth operational running of the ward, acting as a role model for junior team members and supporting the development and delivery of a high standard of specialist nursing care. In this role you will be responsible for the development and support of a team of nurses. You will have the opportunity to develop your personal, managerial and leadership skills. We place a high priority on education and support for all staff. Each member can expect regular appraisal and have a personal development plan.
Key Responsibilities
* Be responsible for the day-to-day management of budget and resources on the Clinical Haematology ward, to ensure the smooth running of the multi-disciplinary service.
* Provide an excellent professional and clinical leadership in the field of cancer nursing promoting the development of the service, practice and individuals.
* Promote liaison between Haematology, the wider cancer centre and integral departments, contributing to the strategic review of cancer services and service delivery.
