LCV Technician Required, Coventry
Salary: Competitive + Paid Overtime
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Hours: Monday – Friday, 07:00 – 16:00 (42.5 hours per week)
We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) Technician to join a well-established and expanding commercial vehicle dealer group in Coventry. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified technician to work within a supportive, forward-thinking business representing leading brands such as Fiat Professional and Stellantis.
Job Purpose: To carry out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on Fiat Professional and Stellantis light commercial vehicles, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. The new employee will play a vital role in maintaining our reputation for excellence, and supporting our growing customer base.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and mechanical repairs on a variety of LCV models
2. Complete diagnostic testing using manufacturer-specific systems and equipment
3. Undertake major unit overhauls and complex mechanical repairs as required
4. Conduct MOT tests (where qualified) and ensure all work meets DVSA standards
5. Complete accurate job cards and service documentation in line with warranty and company guidelines
6. Work both in the workshop and potentially in a mobile capacity when required
7. Adhere to all health & safety and quality assurance standards
8. Support the team with technical guidance and uphold a strong work ethic
Requirements:
9. NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
10. Previous experience working on light commercial vehicles
11. Experience with Vans and light commercial vehicles is desirable
12. Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
13. Full UK Driving Licence
14. Good IT literacy and experience with service systems
15. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
16. High attention to detail and commitment to quality
