Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities and a deep understanding of food safety and breakfast/lunch dish preparation. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating exceptional dishes, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring a high standard of hospitality is maintained. This role requires a blend of creativity, culinary expertise, and effective team management to deliver an outstanding dining experience.
Duties
* Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to food safety standards.
* Lead and supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to foster a collaborative team environment.
* Develop and design innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
* Ensure the quality of food preparation meets the highest culinary standards.
* Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
* Train kitchen staff in food preparation techniques, safety protocols, and best practices in hospitality.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with health regulations.
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Chef in a restaurant or similar hospitality setting.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
* In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in culinary arts.
* Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in food preparation and presentation.
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards.
* Creative flair for developing new dishes and menus that excite guests.
* Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and other departments.
