Your new role
We are looking for Locum Educational Psychologists (EP) for temporary posts until August 2025. This contract is offered on a hybrid basis, combining remote work and face-to-face interactions (this role can be predominantly working from home).
As a Locum EP, you will work in our EHCP team, providing psychological advice for Education, Health, and Care Plan assessments. We have two teams: one working on EHCPs and another working in schools on early intervention work.
This role allows the successful individual to be part of an integrated service within Southend’s Education, Inclusion, and Early Years Directorate, promoting inclusive practices and advocating for positive mental health and wellbeing.
Through statutory assessments, preventative strategies, training, group work, and multi-agency support, we aim to support children and young people in achieving their academic, social, and personal development goals. The service focuses on maximizing educational attainment and achievement, supporting our most vulnerable learners to live their best lives.
For an informal discussion, please contact Melanie Adkins, Principal Educational Psychologist at MelanieA.
