Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with the menu and standards.
* Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient food preparation and service.
* Maintain food safety standards, ensuring that all ingredients are stored and handled properly.
* Collaborate with the management team to develop new menu items and seasonal specials.
* Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
* Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen at all times.
* Train new staff members in food preparation techniques and kitchen protocols.
* Foster a positive working environment by promoting teamwork and effective communication among kitchen staff.
Experience
* Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant setting.
* Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
* Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
* Excellent culinary skills with a passion for creating innovative dishes.
* Experience in menu planning and cost control is advantageous.
* A background in hospitality is preferred, with an understanding of customer service principles.
