Volunteer Director of Fundraising & Sponsorship | CT5 Pride CIC
Overview
Volunteer Director of Fundraising & Sponsorship to drive donations, grants, and partnerships. You will lead fundraising strategy, build donor relationships, and secure resources to support our mission, events, and LGBTQIA+ inclusion across the CT5 area.
Your leadership will enable CT5 Pride to deliver a Pride celebration in June 2026, year-round events, campaigns, and community initiatives, and to build sustainable income and partnerships with individuals, businesses, and funding bodies.
Responsibilities
* Develop and execute CT5 Pride's fundraising strategy to secure donations, grants, and sponsorships.
* Build and maintain relationships with donors, sponsors, and funding partners.
* Lead campaigns, community appeals, and sponsorship opportunities to engage supporters at all levels.
* Identify and pursue corporate partnerships and sponsorships aligned with organisational goals.
* Collaborate with senior leadership and other departments to embed a culture of philanthropy and partnership across CT5 Pride's work.
* Ensure resources support CT5 Pride's mission and activities, including the first Pride celebration in June 2026.
* Advocate for the mission and values, enhancing CT5 Pride’s reputation and visibility.
Qualifications
* Essential: 18+ years old with no unspent convictions; fluent in written and spoken English; not barred from working with children or vulnerable people; commitment to LGBTQIA+ inclusion; willingness to undertake an active hands-on role.
* Minimum 5 years in fundraising, sponsorship, or a similar senior role with a proven record of securing major donations, corporate sponsorships, and grants.
* Experience developing and executing fundraising strategies; strong leadership and team management; excellent relationship-building with donors, sponsors, and partners; strong project management and the ability to manage multiple campaigns and meet targets.
* Experience writing compelling grant applications and managing the full grant lifecycle; ability to identify potential sponsors and create tailored sponsorship packages; strong negotiation skills; comfort with networking and outreach (via LinkedIn); proficiency with digital fundraising tools.
Desirable
* Experience in nonprofit marketing or working with community-centered organisations.
* Experience promoting community events or large-scale initiatives, especially LGBTQIA+-focused.
* Established networks in corporate, nonprofit, and philanthropic communities related to LGBTQIA+ initiatives.
* Professional experience in event and marketing sponsorship opportunities.
