Blackpool Teaching Hospitals' Child Health department is seeking talented and enthusiastic Locally Employed Doctors, ST3+, in Paediatric Medicine to join our expanding team.
Successful applicants will work on the Middle Grade rota, including on-call duties.
Responsibilities include:
* Delivering exceptional paediatric care, supporting the department’s future development.
* Collaborating with consultant paediatricians and advanced nurse practitioners specializing in Neonates and Paediatrics.
* Providing inpatient care, managing acute referrals, and supporting first on-call trainees.
* Managing neonatal care on the NNU, transitional care, and post-natal wards, including attendance at high-risk deliveries.
* Attending outpatient clinics at BVH and outreach/community clinics, under consultant supervision.
* Assessing and managing safeguarding referrals, attending peer review meetings.
* Handling administrative duties such as e-discharges, safeguarding reports, and outpatient correspondence.
This role is within the middle grade tier, working at ST3+ level. Responsibilities may evolve to meet departmental and community needs.
