Robert Half is partnering with a well-established business operating in Rugby, who are seeking an experienced Finance Assistant to join its growing Finance team.
This is a varied and hands-on role supporting Credit Control, Payroll, and Purchase Ledger functions. It would suit a proactive and detail-oriented finance professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and collaborating across departments.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Ledger / Credit Control
* Assist with investigating and resolving invoice queries, liaising directly with councils and internal branch teams.
* Support debt collection activities and management of the aged debt report.
* Perform regular reconciliations of sales ledger accounts to ensure accuracy.
Payroll Support
* Assist with payroll preparation (weekly, four-weekly, and monthly) in collaboration with the outsourced payroll provider.
* Respond to payroll queries and support branches with submission of payroll data.
* Conduct weekly and month-end payroll checks.
* Complete new starter documentation.
Purchase Ledger
* Upload invoices to Dext and assist with payment queries.
* Support management of the Finance inbox.
* Provide additional support on finance projects as required by senior finance leadership.
About You
* Previous experience within a finance role is essential.
* Basic Excel knowledge required; experience with Xero is advantageous.
* Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
* Highly organised with the ability to prioritise in a busy environment.
* Positive, "can-do" attitude with strong communication skills.
* Experience within a care environment is beneficial but not essential.
