The Opportunity
You will help create a welcoming and well-maintained environment across our central Barnsley campuses and offices. You will carry out a variety of cleaning tasks, ensuring classrooms, offices, corridors, toilets, workshops, and communal areas are kept to a consistently high standard.
You will use cleaning equipment and materials confidently and safely, following College procedures and Health & Safety regulations. Your role will include replenishing supplies, disposing of waste responsibly, and reporting any maintenance or safety concerns. You will work both independently and as part of the Estates team to ensure all cleaning schedules are met efficiently.
In this role, you will make a real contribution to a professional and positive environment for students, staff, and visitors. You will also support College policies, including diversity, equal opportunities, safeguarding, and quality standards, while engaging in training and development opportunities to build your skills and knowledge.
About You
You are reliable, flexible, and take pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness. You enjoy working as part of a team but are also confident working independently to complete tasks efficiently.
You have at least one year of cleaning experience in an educational or professional environment, and you are conscientious about Health & Safety, using cleaning equipment and materials safely and responsibly. You are adaptable, able to follow schedules, and willing to take on a variety of cleaning duties across different areas of the College.

Required
* Level 1 numeracy and literacy, or a strong willingness to achieve this qualification
* Minimum of 1 year's cleaning experience in an educational or professional setting
