SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER

The Role:
As Senior Project Engineer, you’ll lead the delivery of capital projects and facility enhancements across multiple sites. You’ll provide MEP specialist expertise, manage projects end-to-end, and oversee a small project team to ensure work is delivered safely, compliantly, on time, and within budget.
This is a hands-on, site-based role with regular interaction across engineering, facilities, contractors, and senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage engineering and capital projects from concept through to completion
* Control budgets, schedules, quality standards, and project documentation
* Supervise contractors and engineering teams, ensuring safe and compliant delivery
* Provide MEP technical support across strategic projects
* Develop capital proposals, specifications, and long-term engineering strategies
* Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, cGMP, EHS, and site standards
* Identify and implement opportunities for technical, digital, and process improvements
* Provide clear progress updates, risk reporting, and cost tracking to senior leadership
* Support commissioning, validation, and handover including O&M documentation
About You:
You’re an experienced project-focused engineer with a structured, professional approach and strong leadership skills. You’re comfortable operating in regulated environments and balancing technical detail with strategic oversight.
Essential experience includes:
* End-to-end project management within engineering or facilities
* Managing contractors, budgets, schedules, and quality
* Strong knowledge of health & safety, legislation, and compliance
* Experience delivering capital projects in complex or regulated settings
* Ability to work flexibly, including occasional out-of-hours support
Desirable:
* Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent hands-on background
* Experience with BIM or digital engineering tools
* Validation and commissioning experience
* Exposure to senior-level capital approval and reporting
