About the Role

Are you an experienced and skilled Security Technical Engineer looking for a stable, rewarding role where your work makes a real difference? Join our friendly, multi-skilled technical team at the University of York and become an essential part of our vibrant campus community. You\'ll be at the heart of our operations, maintaining and improving a diverse range of buildings, from our state-of-the-art facilities to historic Guildhall city-centre location.

As a valued member of our team, you\'ll tackle a wide variety of tasks, including planned maintenance, new installations, and essential repair work. You\'ll work primarily on our beautiful 400-acre campus, ensuring our staff, students, and the public have safe and reliable facilities.

You will be part of an on-call rota team covering business critical issues out of hours and at weekends, with overtime paid in addition to the call out allowance for attendance on site. We offer a daily rate for standby and call out (average of £1,200 per year) plus opportunity for overtime

We offer a range of family friendly, inclusive employment policies, flexible working arrangements, staff engagement forums, campus facilities and services to support staff from different backgrounds.
