We are seeking a dedicated and professional Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical practice and enhancing the patient experience. Please be aware that there is a Tuesday shift that will finish at 8.30pm. Duties
* Greet patients warmly and assist them with the check-in process.
* Manage incoming calls, directing them to appropriate departments or personnel.
* Schedule appointments and maintain an organised calendar for healthcare providers.
* Handle patient records with confidentiality, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date.
* Process patient registrations and insurance information effectively.
* Assist with billing inquiries and coordinate with insurance companies as needed.
* Maintain a clean and welcoming reception area for patients and visitors.
* Collaborate with medical staff to ensure seamless patient flow throughout the practice.
Skills
* Strong administrative skills, with proficiency in office software applications.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and staff.
* Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
* Strong organisational skills to manage records and appointments efficiently.
* A compassionate approach towards patient care, demonstrating empathy and professionalism at all times.
* Previous experience in a medical or healthcare setting is advantageous but not essential.
