Our team in Cornwall is looking for a Young Persons Worker to join them in providing high-quality recovery care to a diverse client group. This increases each year in line with our pay progression bands, rising to £30,000 per annum. Job Opportunity YZUP at We Are With You, is the commissioned Young Persons Drug and Alcohol Service for 11-18 year olds across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. We have a vacancy for a Young Person Worker covering the west part of the county. The role of the worker is to screen and assess referrals that come into the service, and then co produce a care plan with the young person, to be worked on through their treatment journey. Our treatment model is developmentally informed and uses the stages of adolescent development to underpin the range of psycho social interventions the worker offers to the young person. This is a part time, fixed term contract until 31/03/2027. You will be expected to work 25 hours per week. This role will cover West Cornwall. You will be expected to: Screen and assess young people Co-produce the Treatment Care Plan with the young person and review goal setting regularly Deliver a range of psycho social interventions such as Harm Reduction information, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focussed Therapy, CBT based interventions etc Complete case management information / data and outcome monitoring Be part of a multi-agency safeguarding team around the child and attend any relevant planning meetings. You will be: Highly organised and practical with proven IT skills Be able to engage well with young people Be able to work on your own Have proven one to one skills with young people Experienced in effective partnership working with other agencies A good understanding of safeguarding process Experience of risk assessment and complex case work A full UK driving licence and access to a car. You will need to ensure business use is added to your insurance policy. Most importantly a real passion for working with young people to help enable them to reach their potential.
