About the role

We wish to appoint a Community Partnership Manager to work for a fixed period in the community of Cardigan in Ceredigion.

On a day-to-day basis, you will:

1. Engage with disadvantaged communities to develop a community engagement plan, encourage the use of school facilities, integrate key partners, support young people and their families and focus on strategies for dealing with attendance and wellbeing.
2. Support the attendance of young people and families across educational sites in the Cardigan area and work alongside colleagues with regards bespoke timetables to support improved attendance.
3. Ensure equal access to opportunities and encourage the participation of disadvantaged young people in curricular and extra-curricular activities.

Some key duties and responsibilities will include:

4. Working with the Senior Leadership Teams in schools to address community engagement, families and pupils issues
5. Develop a Community Engagement Plan, map key stakeholders, and identify a way to work in partnership.
6. To address issues relating to community use of school facilities.
7. Integrate with a partnership structure to develop collaborative strategies with other agencies such as healthcare, Healthy Schools Co-ordinators, social services, third sector, sport and leisure, libraries, adult learning, etc.
8. Develop a report on how the school(s) can use community resources to support children and their families, and also how the school(s) can support families and the wider community.

In addition to the above, we are looking for an individual who has a level of fluency in Welsh.
