At Horder Healthcare, we take great pride in our reputation for exceptional cleanliness and outstanding patient care. We are now looking for a motivated and experienced Housekeeping Assistant to join our fantastic corporate housekeeping team at The McIndoe Centre.
As a Housekeeping Assistant, you will be at the heart of maintaining high standards of cleanliness across our hospital. From patient rooms and treatment areas to staff facilities, you’ll ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
Key Duties:
1. Maintain Cleanliness: Perform all cleaning tasks to the highest standard across patient rooms, lounges, treatment areas, and public spaces.
2. Waste Management: Safely dispose of clinical, household, and recycling waste.
3. Linen Management: Restock clean linen supplies and manage soiled laundry.
4. Infection Control: Follow Health & Safety and Infection Control guidelines to ensure a safe environment.
5. Communication: Work closely with staff and occasionally interact with patients. Good communication skills are a must!
About you:
6. Experienced in housekeeping, ideally in a hospital or healthcare environment.
7. Confident in working independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
8. Customer-focused, friendly, and professional in every interaction.
9. Organised, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage time effectively.
10. Flexible, willing to work weekends and bank holidays as part of a rota.

Location: The McIndoe Centre, East Grinstead
Contract Type: Permanent
Shift Pattern: 32.50 hours Includes weekends (1 in 3) and Bank Holidays (2 per year)
Salary: From £20,685.60 pro rata (£23,868.00 FTE) per annum (Experience Dependent)
