Purpose of the role The Head of Group Performance is a senior leadership position responsible for driving operational excellence and strategic performance across IAG Transform and the broader IAG Group. This role oversees critical functions including Portfolio Management, FinOps, Supplier Performance, and Performance Metrics, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and delivering measurable value. The position requires deep technical expertise combined with executive-level stakeholder management to establish and maintain robust governance frameworks that support large-scale technology transformations. Your responsibilities Strategic Leadership & Governance Establish and chair technology governance boards across IAG Transform and Operating Companies (OpCos) Define governance frameworks, decision-making protocols, and escalation processes for IT operations and delivery. Drive alignment between technology investments and business outcomes across all IAG OpCos. Lead strategic planning for performance management across the organization. Portfolio & Performance Management Oversee the Portfolio Management function, ensuring optimal prioritization and resource allocation. Develop and implement performance frameworks and KPIs that drive accountability and results. Monitor portfolio health, delivery metrics, and value realization across major initiatives. Provide executive-level reporting and insights on performance trends and improvement opportunities. Financial Operations (FinOps) Lead FinOps function to optimize technology spending and cloud financial management. Implement cost transparency and accountability mechanisms across IT operations. Drive continuous improvement in technology cost efficiency and ROI. Partner with Finance to forecast, budget, and manage technology expenditure. Supplier & Vendor Management Oversee Supplier Performance function, ensuring vendor accountability and value delivery. Establish performance metrics, SLAs, and governance mechanisms for key suppliers. Lead strategic supplier relationships and contract performance reviews. Drive supplier innovation and continuous improvement initiatives. Technology Transformation Lead and support major technology transformation initiatives across the Group. Apply proven methodologies and frameworks to drive successful change delivery. Build capability and maturity in performance management practices. Champion a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence. Executive Stakeholder Management Serve as trusted advisor to executive level stakeholders on performance and delivery matters. Present complex technical and operational information in business-relevant terms. Build and maintain strong relationships across IAG brands and Group functions. Influence strategic decisions through data-driven insights and recommendations. Your skills, experience and qualifications Qualification: Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or relevant field. Bachelor's degree in Technology, Business, Engineering, or related discipline. Project/Programme management certification (PMP, MSP, or equivalent). ITIL or IT service management certification preferred. · FinOps Certified Practitioner or similar financial management certification advantageous. · Governance framework certifications (COBIT, TOGAF) beneficial. Continuous improvement mindset and practices Experience : Minimum 10 years in senior technology or performance management roles. · Proven track record leading technology transformations in large, complex organizations. Extensive experience establishing and running technology governance boards. · Strong background in IT operations, delivery, and service management. · Demonstrated success in portfolio and performance management at enterprise scale.
