About The Role
MGroup Transport (Aviation) are seeking a talented CAD Manager to join their Survey team. Primarily supporting their Aviation, Defence and Adjacent Markets sectors covering projects around the Southeast and Midlands.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Suitable for existing CAD Managers or Experienced CAD operators looking to progress their career to the next level
2. You’ll be supporting the Project and Site Managers with CAD technical expertise
3. Managing and developing a small CAD team in the creation of different types of drawings for a variety of civil and infrastructure projects
4. Provide MGroup and its clients with high-standard CAD drawings, models, documents, and work reports
5. Ensure workflow runs smoothly and standard CAD processes are followed by the CAD team
6. Review outputs for quality-controlled documentation, track performance, and manage CAD software
About You
What you'll bring (Essential Skills and Experience):
7. Expert user of Autodesk Suite of products, including 3D Modelling
8. Excellent attention to detail
9. Ability to interpret technical information and drawings and translate this onto CAD platform
10. Ability to manage work efficiently between multiple projects
11. Good communications skills and ability to work well with other teams and departments at all levels both internally and externally, including client liaison
12. Excellent data management and Quality Control
13. Prepare survey reports containing sufficient information and conclusions and recommendations
14. Contribute to the improvement of delivered products and quality of processing by accurately identifying and introducing improvement opportunities
15. Train, support, mentor and guide CAD technicians and newcomers to the survey team
16. Share knowledge and coach other team members in order to support improvements in team’s performance
17. Keep up to date with legislations and current industry trends
18. Desire for self-development and continuous self-improvement
19. Full UK driving license
20. 5yr Traceable employment
Desirable Skills and Experience:
21. Understanding of PAS128 requirements and of other industry standards
22. Experience in the analysis of GPR data and using GPR post-processing software
23. Understanding of BIM practices
24. Previous experience in a management role
25. Experience working within the utilities, engineering and aviation sector
