Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Installation Manager to oversee and co-ordinate all installation activities, ensuring jobs are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The successful candidate will manage installation teams, drive operational excellence, ensure adherence to health and safety best practices, and guarantee customer satisfaction, including obtaining signed completion and satisfaction notes upon handover. You will work closely with internal teams, suppliers, subcontractors, and customers to ensure seamless project execution from initial schedule through to final sign-off.
Duties
* Lead and supervise installation teams across multiple projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines and specifications.
* Coordinate with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to facilitate smooth project progression.
* Oversee the preparation of site plans using schematics and technical drawings.
* Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
* Manage procurement of materials and tools, including power tools, hand tools, and specialised equipment such as scaffolding or fabrication machinery.
* Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality of work, and safety compliance.
* Troubleshoot technical issues related to roofing, plumbing, electrical systems, or other trades involved in the project.
* Provide training and guidance to team members on the proper use of tools and techniques such as plastering, fabrication, masonry, or construction painting.
* Maintain detailed documentation of project progress and report to senior management.
* Ensure all installations are completed on time, within budget, and to company quality standards.
* Obtain signed customer satisfaction notes and completion certificates upon project handover.
* Manage and minimise post-installation remedial works and call-backs.
* Monitor installation performance against KPIs including completion times, snag rates, and customer satisfaction scores.
* Conduct final quality inspections prior to handover to ensure right-first-time installation.
* Work closely with the sales and operations teams to ensure accurate survey information and smooth project scheduling.
* Protect company margins by controlling labour costs, wastage, and inefficient site practices.
* Resolve customer complaints or site issues professionally and promptly.
Experience
* Proven experience in construction management or a similar supervisory role within the building industry.
* Extensive knowledge of trades including roofing, plumbing, welding, electrical systems, carpentry, masonry, plastering, fabrication, and construction painting.
* Familiarity with schematics interpretation and technical drawings.
* Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients, team members, and suppliers.
* Relevant certifications or qualifications in construction management or specific trades are advantageous but not essential. The ideal candidate will be proactive with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results while maintaining a safe working environment.
