Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Days)
Location: Tilbury, Essex
Salary: £(phone number removed) per annum + Overtime & On‑call
Shifts: Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 16:30 (1-in-6 on‑call rota)
The Role
Working within a high‑energy production facility, you will focus on minimizing downtime and driving system improvements. This is a site that prioritises Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and long‑term asset reliability over “firefighting.”
* Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical and electrical faults.
* Maintain automated systems, including PLCs, controls, and 3‑phase motors.
* Support machine part replacements and conduct mandatory safety logs.
* Contribute to continuous improvement projects and site upgrades.
The Candidate
We are looking for a collaborative, forward‑thinking engineer with an “electrical bias” and a proactive attitude.
* Experience: Several years within an FMCG or high‑speed food production environment.
* Qualifications: Level 3 NVQ/HNC/HND in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
* Technical Skills: Proficient in electrical fault finding, wiring, and industrial controls (18th Edition preferred).
* Mindset: Ambitious, enthusiastic, and a dedicated team player.
