Caversham, nr Reading RG4: Nanny/Housekeeper Needed
A warm and friendly family based in Caversham are seeking a reliable nanny/housekeeper to start during February 2026. Please note, this is a maternity cover position for a minimum of 4 months.
You will be responsible for two girls, aged 7 and 9 years old, so previous experience with children of a similar age essential.
Total hours offered are between 30-40 hours per week spread across Monday to Thursday with a few hours every other Friday (ideally). The days and hours are negotiable, although essentially, you'd be needed for before/after school for 4/5 days per week. The family are flexible on the final agreement.
Nanny duties involve helping with morning routine, taking the children to school and collecting from school or clubs, organising the children's school things for the next day, supporting with homework and creating activities
Housekeeping duties (when children at school) are preparing meals, light laundry, hoover/dusting, as well as a daily walk with the family's well behaved dog.
You will also need the right to work in the UK, a clean driving license (car supplied on duty), plus excellent checkable references, current first aid certificate and a recent DBS essential. Salary negotiable depending on experience.
