Job Introduction
In a Nutshell
A unique opportunity has arisen at Pennyhill Park for a Facilities Manager to join the Maintenance team.
Reporting directly to the Technical Services Manager, the Facilities Manager will assist with the smooth running of the department & property by ensuring the building is safe and well maintained at all times. They will help develop the department and team, improve hotel installations, guest rooms, and facilities. The role involves ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, maintaining H&S documentation, and records for the Hotel & Spa.
Role Responsibility
Lots to do and lots of fun
* Deputise for the Technical Services Manager at management & contractor meetings
* Act as liaison between hotel and outside contractors on major projects
* Manage repair and maintenance response times to ensure customer satisfaction
* Follow up with departments on outstanding, planned, or anticipated works
* Ensure adequate resources, personnel, time, and materials are available
* Maintain workshop and plant areas in immaculate condition
* Ensure engineering team complies with health and safety procedures
* Conduct in-house training sessions for team development
* Create and distribute department rotas
* Maintain effective communication within the department
* Attend training sessions and meetings as required
* Implement energy-saving procedures and ensure hotel compliance
* Monitor utility bills for accuracy
* Assist in preparing the property & maintenance budget and forecasts
* Perform regular equipment checks and preventive maintenance
* Oversee refurbishment of public areas, bedrooms, and mechanical & electrical plant
* Be available for call-out when required
* Assist maintenance operations at other properties within the collection when needed
The Ideal Candidate
Are you right for us?
* Assistant Manager level or Senior Shift Engineer with minimum 2 years experience
* Experience working with contractors
* Skills in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, Spa pool operations, with H&S qualification at CIEH Intermediate level or equivalent
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
* Strategic mindset and effective project management skills
* Good financial understanding
