With a current turnover of £3 million and exciting growth plans; the Owner and Managing Director, is looking for a confident and capable Accountant to take ownership of the day‑to‑day finance function.
You’ll work closely with the Managing Director (who has no formal accounts training) and receive part‑time support from the current Finance Manager, who will be retiring in the near future. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys autonomy, variety, and being a trusted advisor within a friendly, down‑to‑earth team.

🔧 Key Responsibilities
* Purchase ledger
* Sales ledger
* Bank reconciliations
* VAT returns
* Running BACs payments
* Handling customer queries
* Credit control
* Producing the trial balance
* Explaining financial information to the Managing Director
* Accruals & prepayments
* Maintaining the fixed asset register
* Journals
* Month‑end reporting
🎯 About You
* AAT Qualified or QBE (Qualified by Experience)
* Interested in further study? Support for ACCA / ACA / CIMA is available
* Able to work independently and use your initiative
* Confident advising the Managing Director and Business Owner
* Strong communication skills and a positive, can‑do approach
